Today, students will change metric units of length, capacity, and mass. Students will work in groups to complete 1-8 Practice Skills worksheet.

Math Lesson Plans for August 20th- 24th
Monday: Fractions, Decimals, and Percents
Today, students will learn to compute efficiently with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percents. Students will convert from one form to another. Students will work in groups to complete various problems given by the teacher from the overhead.
Homework: Study Notes for quiz on Wednesday; copy 5 problems from board for homework.

Today, students will continue to compute efficiently with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percents. Students will complete textbook pages 575 and 576; Lessons 5-5 and 5-6. Students will turn in assignments to teacher after completion.

Math /Enriched Math Lesson Plans for August 13th- 17th
Monday: Welcome Back!
Today, students will practice procedures for classroom, hallway, cafeteria, restroom breaks, class changes, homeroom, drills, and dismissal. Students will be given appropriate forms (in a packet) which will need to be signed and returned by Friday, 8/17/07.
Homework: Students need to cover all books.
Tuesday: Rules and Procedures
Today, students will continue to model all procedures, and go over all rules for Germantown Middle. Students will complete a getting to know you activity in class. Students will need to bring art supplies today.
Homework: Work on getting packet signed and returned by Friday.
Wednesday: Working in groups
Today, students will complete an activity, which is geared towards understanding how to work in groups; this activity encourages students to learn how to accept different viewpoints while attaining a common goal.

Today, students will begin a series of activities in an effort to better understand numbers and how they work. Students will take notes from the overhead. After students take notes, students will work in groups to solve various problems.
