Enriched Math Lesson Plans for May 5th- 9th
Monday: Combining Like Terms
Today, students will learn to combine like terms. Student will complete Bell work on the overhead. The teacher will go over the answers with the students. The students will work in groups to complete practice problems in class.
Homework: Study Notes
Tuesday: Pop Quiz Combining Like Terms
Today, students will take a pop quiz over combining like terms. After the quiz, students will begin notes on multiplying polynomials by binomials. Students will begin practice problems in class.
Homework: Study notes/ Bring the blue “return to GMS” form to school tomorrow.
Wednesday: Multiplying Polynomials by Binomials
Today, students will continue to multiply polynomials by binomials. Students will complete practice worksheet in class.
Homework: Study notes
Thursday: Multiplying Polynomials by Binomials
Today, students will work in groups to create problems and solve them. Students will take the problems that they have created in their group and share the problems with students in another group. Students will be asked to solve each other’s problems.
Homework: Study Notes (Mrs. Sanders’ homeroom needs to bring the yellow MAPS selection form to school by tomorrow).
Friday: FOIL Method
Today, students will use the foil method to solve various problems. Students take notes from the overhead. Students will work in groups to complete this assignment.
Homework: None; have a great weekend!
