Enriched Math Lesson Plans for January 7th-11th
Monday: 8-3 The Percent Equation (7.1.spi.3)
Today, students will learn to solve problems using the percent equation. Students will work individually to complete Practice Skills and Enrichment masters worksheet in class.
Homework: 8th grade Textbook page 340 numbers 10-26 even only.
Tuesday: 8-4 Large and small percents (7.1.spi.3)
Today, students will learn to express percents greater than 100 or less than 1 as fractions and decimals. Students will complete Practice Masters Lesson 7-7 and Enrichment Masters 7-7.
Homework: 8th grade Textbook page 346 numbers 12-34 even.
Wednesday: 8-5 Percent of Change (7.1.spi.3)
Today, students will learn to find and use the percent of increase or decrease. Students will work in groups to complete 8-4 Practice Skills and Enrichment Masters sheet.
Homework: Study for quiz Friday.
Thursday: 8-6 Simple Interest (7.1.spi.3)
Today, students will learn to solve problems involving simple interest. Students will work in groups to calculate simple interest. Students will create situations and solve various problems.
Homework: Study for quiz tomorrow. Page 629 Lesson 8-6 numbers 1-12 all.
Friday: ACT preparation /Quiz (Lessons 8-3 through 8-6)
Today, students will take a quiz over lessons 8-3 through 8-6. After the quiz, students will be asked to read a book silently.
Homework: None; have a great weekend!
