Math Lesson Plans for January 14th – 18th
Monday: Quiz Lessons 6-7 through 6-9
Today, students will take a quiz over lessons 6-7 through 6-9. After the quiz, students will take notes on how to find the area of parallelograms.
Homework: None
Tuesday: 11- 4 Area of Parallelograms (7.4.spi.5)
Today, students will determine how to calculate the area of parallelograms. Students will work individually to complete Lesson Masters 11-4 Practice Skills and Enrichment
Homework: study notes
Wednesday: 11-5 Area of Triangles and Trapezoids (7.4.spi.5)
Today, students will learn to find the areas of triangles and trapezoids. Students will take notes from the overhead. Students will complete textbook page 491 numbers 4-15 all.
Homework: none
Thursday: 11-6 Area of Circles (7.4.spi.5)
Today, students will learn to find the areas of circles. Students will work in groups to complete textbook page 494 numbers 4-25 all.
Homework: textbook page 495 Standardized test practice.
Friday: 11-7 Area of complex figures (7.4.spi.7)
Today, students will learn to find the areas of complex figures. Students will work in groups to Practice Skills Lesson Masters 11-7.
