Enriched Math Lesson Plans for September 24th- 28th

Monday: Review of Chapter 3
Today, students will review chapter 3. Students will complete 8th grade textbook pages 131-132. Students will complete numbers 12-50 even number only. After completing the assignment, students will be given the correct answers.
Homework: Study for quiz over chapter 3

Tuesday: Quiz over chapter 3; Begin chapter 5-1
Today, students will take a quiz over chapter 3. After the quiz, students will begin chapter 5-1 on parallel lines. Students will learn to identify lines that are parallel and types of angles formed by parallel lines and transversals. Students will complete practice problems in class.
Homework: Study today’s notes

Wednesday: 5-1 Parallel lines (7.3.spi.3)
Today, students will continue to learn to identify lines that are parallel and types of angles formed by parallel lines and transversals. Students will complete textbook pages 190-191 numbers 4-25 all.
Homework: Study today’s notes

Thursday: 5-2 Classifying Triangles (7.3.spi.2)
Today, students will learn to classify triangles by their angles and their sides and to find the measures of missing angles in triangles. Students will complete workbook page 35 Practice Side.
Homework: textbook page198 numbers 4-20 even only.

Friday: Classifying Quadrilaterals (7.3.spi.2)
Today, students will learn to classify quadrilaterals. Students will take notes on quadrilaterals and complete in class practice problems from the overhead concerning quadrilaterals. Students will complete a short assignment with questions concerning quadrilaterals.
Homework: None; have a great weekend!
