Enriched Math Lesson Plans for September 17th- 21st

Monday: 3-5 Finding Percents (7.1.spi.12)
Today, students will learn to compute mentally with percents. Students will work in groups to find various percents mentally. Students will also work individually to find percent by using a calculator. Students will complete textbook page 122 numbers 10-20 even only. Students will play a game on page 123 of textbook.
Homework:

Tuesday: 3-6 Percent and Estimation (7.1.spi.12)
Today, students will learn to estimate by using equivalent fractions, decimals, and percents. Students will work in groups to complete pages 128-129, numbers 4-37 all.
Homework: page 614; Lesson 3-6 numbers 1-11 all.

Wednesday: Review Chapter 3
Today, students will complete page 131-132 numbers 12-50 even only. After the review, the teacher will give correct answers to students.
Homework: Study for quiz over chapter 3

Thursday: Quiz over chapter 3
Today, students will take a short quiz over chapter 3. After the quiz, students will begin chapter 4 on graphs. Students will learn to construct and interpret bar graphs and histograms. Students will work individually to complete textbook page 144-145 numbers 1-9 all.

Friday: 4-2 Circle Graphs (mini project)/ (7.5.pi.2)
Today, students will learn to construct and interpret circle graphs. Students will work in groups to create circle graphs on information of their choice. Students will be asked to make a circle graph, create questions based on the circle graph, and make a presentation on the circle graph. Students will make presentations on Monday.
Homework: Get a lot of rest for the upcoming week!
