Enriched Math Lesson Plans for April 30th- May 4th

Monday: Changing Customary Units/ Multiplying Binomials
Today, students will learn to change units in the customary system. Students will use the foldables that they constructed to convert from one unit to the next. Students will complete workbook page 53- Study Guide and Practice Side. After completion, students will go over the answers in class. Students will also begin lesson on multiplying binomials.
Homework: Study conversion foldable

Tuesday: Changing Customary Units/ Begin Multiplying Binomials
Today, students will continue to learn to change units in the customary system. Students will use the foldables that they constructed to convert from one unit to the next. Students will complete workbook page 53- Study Guide and Practice Side. After completion, students will go over the answers in class. Students will also begin skill on multiplying binomials. Students will complete page 583 numbers 5-22 all.
Homework: Study conversion foldable

Wednesday: Review for Quiz/ Multiplying Binomials
Today, students will play a game in groups to review for the quiz on changing customary units; the quiz will be tomorrow. The winning team will have the opportunity to earn points towards their test grade. Students will also continue to practice skill on multiplying binomials. Students will complete page 643; lesson 13-6 numbers, 1-16 all.
Homework: Study for quiz over conversions

Thursday: Quiz
Today, students will take a quiz over changing customary units. After the quiz, students will be asked to read a book silently.
Homework: None

Friday: Activity
Today, students will complete enrichment activities:
1. Activity one- order of operations using a calculator
2. Use the number 4 (add, subtract, divide and multiply) to create the designated number outcome.
Homework: None
