Math Lesson Plans for February 12th- 16th
Monday: Area, Perimeter, and Volume (7.4.spi.1)
Today, students will continue to calculate area, perimeter, and volume. Students will work individually to complete worksheet 6-8 (area and perimeter) and worksheet 12-2 (volume). After completion, students will discuss correct answers.
Homework: Study notes on area, volume, and perimeter
Tuesday: 11-6 Area of Circles (7.4.spi.5)
Today, students will find the area of circles. Students will work in groups to complete page 494 numbers 1-24 all. After completion, students will work in groups to discuss correct answers.
Homework: Study Notes
Wednesday: 6-9 Circles and Circumference (7.4.spi.6)
Today, students will calculate the circumference of circles. Students will work in groups to complete textbook page 276 numbers 4-26 all. After completion, students will work in groups to discuss correct answers. Students will use calculators for this assignment.
Homework: Textbook page 579 numbers 1-19 all (Lesson 6-9)
Thursday: TCAP Practice workbook
Today, students will practice skills that will be assessed on the TCAP. After completing TCAP practice skills, students will be asked to read a book silently.
Homework: Study notes on Circles and Circumference
Friday: Review (Area of parallelograms, triangles, circles, and quadrilaterals)
Today, students will review area of various figures. Students will complete textbook page 591 Lessons 11-4 through 11-6. After completion, students will work in groups to discuss and correct answers to problems.
Homework: None; have a great weekend!
