Monday: 7-3 Solving Proportions (7.1.spi.12)
Today, students will solve real world problems using proportions. Students will work individually to complete textbook page 580 Lesson 7-3. After completion, students will turn in papers to the tray.
Homework: Study notes
Tuesday: 10-6 Similar Figures (7.3.spi.3)
Today, students will use proportions to determine whether figures are similar and find a missing length in a pair of similar figures. Students will discuss the definition of a similar figure. Students will work individually to complete worksheet 10-6. After completion, the assignments will be collected.
Homework: page 442 numbers 3-12 all.
Wednesday: 10-7 Polygons and Tessellations (7.3.spi.4)
Today, students will classify polygons and determine which polygons can form a tessellation. Students will work in groups to complete page 448 (skills and concept check) numbers 1-17. After completing the assignment, students will work on think link skills (area of need)
Homework: page 589 Lesson 10-7 numbers 1-7.
Thursday: 10-7 Polygons and Tessellations (7.3.spi.4)
Today, students will continue to classify polygons and determine which polygons can form a tessellation. Students will work individually to complete worksheets Lesson 10-7 (practice skills and word problems). Completed worksheets will be collected.
Homework: Study Notes
Friday: 10-8 and 10-9 Translations and Reflections (7.3.spi.5)
Today, students will graph translations on polygons on a coordinate plane. Students will also identify figures with symmetry and graph reflections on a coordinate plane. Students will complete wksht practice skills 10-8 and practice skills 10-9.
Homework: None; have a great weekend!
