Math Lesson Plans for December 11th- 15th

Monday: 4-6 Functions and Linear Equations
Today, students will graph linear equations. Students will discuss vocabulary words: function, function table, domain, range, and linear equation. Students will work in groups to complete textbook page 179 numbers 8-13. Students will label the input, out put, and function rule in each linear equation.
Homework: page, 573; lesson 4-6; numbers 3-8 all. Begin studying for chapter 4 test on Friday.

Tuesday: 4-6 Functions and Linear Equations
Today, students will continue to graph linear equations. Students will need to bring graph paper for today. Students will work in groups to complete various function tables; students will graph their findings on graph paper. Students will complete textbook page 180 numbers 14-25 all.
Homework: page 180 numbers 26- 28/ Folder check Thursday.

Wednesday: 4-7 Lines and Slopes
Today, students will find the slope of a line. Students will discuss what a slope is. Students will discuss positive and negative slopes and what causes a slope to be positive or negative. Students will complete textbook page 184 numbers 4-16 all. Students will work in groups to complete this assignment.
Homework: Study Notes/ study for test on Friday.

Thursday: Folder check 4-7 Lines and Slopes/ Review
Today, students will continue to find the slope of a line. Students will also review for test on tomorrow. Students will complete textbook page 186 orally; and 187 ( the first two problems from each section, 4-1 through 4-7.
Homework: Study for test tomorrow

Friday: Chapter 4 test
Today, students will take a test over chapter 4. After the test, students will be asked to read a book silently
Homework: None
