Enriched Math Lesson Plans for December 4th- 8th

Monday: 5-5 Congruent Triangles/ 5-6 Similar Triangles
Today, students will determine whether triangles are congruent or not. Students will also determine if triangles are similar based on proportions and measurements. Students will work individually to complete textbook pages 211 numbers 4-14.

Tuesday: 5-6 Similar Triangles
Today, students will discuss the skill congruent triangles. Students will check their own work and grade it for accuracy. Students will also determine if triangles are similar based on proportions and measurements. Students will work individually to begin textbook pages 216- 217, numbers 5-13 all.

Wednesday: 5-6 Similar Triangles
Today, students will determine if triangles are similar based on proportions and measurements. Students will work individually to complete pages 216- 217, numbers 5-13 all. After completion, students will discuss the content of the assignment and prepare for a pop quiz.

Thursday: Properties of Congruent Triangles
Today, students will apply properties of congruent triangles. Students will learn the properties: SSS, SAS, ASA, LL, LA, HA, and HL. Students will take notes and work in groups to classify each triangle by the property that it represents.

Friday: Review
Today, students will review the contents of chapter 5. Students will complete 8th grade textbook page 225 numbers 10-17 all and numbers 22-25 all. Students should begin studying for test on chapter 5.
