Enriched Math Lesson Plans for November27th - December 1st

Monday: 5-2Classifying Triangles (7.3.spi.2 and 6)
Today, students will learn to classify triangles by their angles and their sides and to find measures of missing angles in triangles. Students will go over terms: polygon, triangle, acute, right, obtuse, scalene, isosceles, equilateral, perpendicular, complementary, and angles. Students will work individually to complete textbook page 198 and 199 numbers 6- 21 al.
Homework: Study today’s notes/ Study for test on Wednesday parallel lines and angles

Tuesday: 5-2 Classifying Triangles (7.3.spi.2 and 6)
Today, students will continue to classify triangles. Students will work in groups to complete 8th grade workbook page 35 Practice Side. After the workbook page, students will complete a journal entry.
Homework: Study for test over parallel lines and angles

Wednesday: Test over Parallel Lines and Angles/ Notes Classifying Quadrilaterals (7.3.spi.6)
Today, students will take a test over parallel lines and angles. After the test, students will take notes over classifying quadrilaterals.
Homework: None

Thursday: 5-3 Classifying Quadrilaterals ( 7.3.spi.2, and 6)
Today, students will learn to classify quadrilaterals by their definitions. Students will work in groups to complete workbook page 36, study guide and practice side.

Friday: 5-5 Congruent Triangles/ 5-6 Similar Triangles
Today, students will determine whether triangles are congruent or not. Students will also determine if triangles are similar based on proportions and measurements. Students will work individually to complete textbook pages 212 numbers 8-16 and page 216-217, numbers 5-13 all.
Homework: Study Notes
