Enriched Math Lesson Plans for October 23rd- 27th

Monday: 2-2 Making Predictions (7.5.spi.5)
Today, students will make line graphs and make predictions based on the line graph. Students will go over vocabulary terms: scatter plot and line graph. Students will complete packet pages 72 and 73.
Homework: Study for quiz over line plots and frequency table

Tuesday: Quiz Lessons 2-3 and 2-4/ 2-5 Stem- and- Leaf Plot

Today, students will take a quiz over lessons 2-3 and 2-4. After the quiz, students will go over vocabulary terms: stem- and- leaf plot, leaves, and stems. Students will construct stem- and- leaf plots from given data. Students will complete packet page 88.
Homework: Create data and construct a stem-and-leaf plot using the data.

Wednesday: 2-5 Stem-and-Leaf Plot ( 7.5.spi.7)
Today, students will continue to construct stem- and- leaf plots. Students will use stem-and-leaf plots to solve word problems. Students will complete packet page 89. Students who are not finished with packet pages 83, 72, 73, and 88 must have these pages completed by Friday.
Homework: None

Thursday: 2-6 Box and Whisker Plots (7.5.spi.7)
Today, students will construct a box- and- whisker plot from given data. Students will describe vocabulary words: box-and- whisker plot, lower quartile, upper quartile, lower extreme, and upper extreme. Students will draw a diagram of a box- and- whisker plot and label the parts. Students will complete packet page 92.

Friday: 2-6 Box and Whisker Plot (7.5.spi.7)

We are almost done with graphs!
Today, students will continue to construct box-and-whisker plots. Students will work individually to solve word problems on packet page 94. Students will turn in all packet pages: 83, 72, 73, 88 , 92 and 94.
