Enriched Math Lesson Plans for October 16th- 20th
Monday: 2-1 Frequency Tables
Today, students will organize and interpret data in a frequency table. Students will work collectively to understand vocabulary terms: statistics, data, frequency table, scale, and interval. Students will work individually to complete activity on worksheet page 68 and 69. Students will complete journal entry for frequency tables.
Homework: page 56 numbers 8-11.
Tuesday: 2-1 Frequency Tables
Today, students will organize and interpret data in a frequency table. Students will work collectively to complete worksheet activity on page 69. Students will also complete enrichment masters page 71 (Breaking the Code).
Homework: Write a scenario or situation from which the table (provided in class) may have been created. Include data in your answer.
Wednesday: 2-3 Line Plots
Today, students will construct and interpret line plots. Students will work in groups to understand the vocabulary terms: line plot, cluster, outlier, and range. Students will work individually to complete activity worksheets page 78 and 79. Students will complete a journal entry at the end of class.
Homework: page 66 numbers 5-13 all.
Thursday: 2-4 Mean, Median, and Mode
Today, students will find the mean, median, and mode for a set of data. Students will work collectively to understand vocabulary terms: measures of central tendency, mean, median, and mode. Students will work individually to complete activity packet number 83. Students will complete a journal at the end of class.
Homework: page 71 numbers 1-9 all.
Friday: Mean, Median, and Mode
Today, students will find the mean, median, and mode for a set of data. Students will work collectively to complete activity packet page 84. Students will also complete enrichment worksheet page 86.
Homework: None! Have a great weekend.
